In the criminal justice system… Dun-DUN!
After years of hard work, expert certification by the California Bar, and many successes at trial, I am ready for prime time. Calls have been coming in for me to provide expert legal analysis for cases in the headlines for news outlets and talk shows. Over the past year or so, I have appeared on talk radio, local news, and cable news shows. These programs give me an opportunity to explain the law in approachable terms to a wide audience, and hopefully help people be more aware of their rights. Finally, the call has come in from CourtTV. When I was in law school, I used to wonder about the attorneys that I'd see on CourtTV. I would watch it during law school because of the OJ Murder Trial. Back then I never thought I'd ever be a commentator on their network. I like watching and commenting on CourtTV live trials. It gives me a chance to evaluate the trial attorneys, hear different approaches, and break down the arguments in real-time. It's like sports commentating but for the courtroom. Also, I get to see what works and what doesn't. Maybe something like Bill Walsh watching game tapes of the other teams. At the end of the day, analyzing trials on TV helps me help people better understand something that matters. Better than scripted Law & Order. Real-life Truth and Justice. -JT
